Trick-or-Treat Trail at Headwaters

ree

Ghosts, princesses, dragons, superheroes and an array of wild animals descended upon Headwaters', first ever, Trick-or-Treat Trail on October, 19th.

Community services dotted the trail loop south of the education building with loads of goodies for the parade of characters. A special thanks to The Morrow County Sheriff's Department, Morrow County OSU Extension, the Morrow County Commissioners, Cub Scouts - Pack 56 of Mt. Gilead, Morrow County Recycling and Litter Prevention, Morrow County Parks District, Mount Gilead Public Library, Mary Jo's Greenhouse Legacy and our Headwaters Outdoor Education Center Volunteers!

The fun did not stop at the tricks and the treats, however. Pumpkin painting, hikes, fall themed games and time in the play area gave parents and guardians a chance to roast hotdogs over an open fire, keeping the creatures satisfied as they played!

Over 200 people visited the trail. We hope to expand this event and see even more trick-or-treaters in October of 2025!

It was great to see so many smiling faces enjoying the sites and sounds of the Headwaters Outdoor Education Center. With over 3-miles of trails there's something for everyone. Headwaters is open to the public daily from dawn to dusk. If you are interested in education programming be on the lookout for our 2025 Program Schedule this winter!
