2025 Supervisor Election Enters 10 Day Petition Period

This year two candidates will be elected to the Board of Supervisors for the Morrow Soil and Water Conservation District. Find out more about becoming a Supervisor here!

As the 30-day voting block approaches and the Board of Supervisors' election process moves forward we have now entered the 10-day Candidate Nomination Petition period. This simply means that if you would like to run for the Morrow Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors, and have not be approached by our Nomination Committee, you still have a chance to place your name on the ballot.

What is required of you is a 10-signature petition, found here, completed and returned to the Morrow SWCD Main Office at 5362 US 42, Mount Gilead, Ohio - 43338, by October 20th, 4:30 p.m.

Residents or landowners, firms, and corporations that own land or occupy land in Morrow County and are 18 years of age and older may vote for Supervisors.  A non-resident landowner, firm, or corporation must provide an affidavit of eligibility, which includes designation of a voting representative, prior to casting a ballot.

Voting will begin on November 8th and conclude on Dec. 6th at the Morrow Soil and Water Conservation District Annual Meeting.

Upon arriving at our Annual Meeting, attendees will immediately be directed to the election registration table where election officials will find your name in the election registry.  Voters will sign next to their name to verify eligibility, be given a ballot and will proceed to a nearby voting booth where they will mark their ballot and deposit it in the ballot box.

Those wishing to vote for the SWCD Board Members but are not able to attend the December 6th Annual Meeting, may call or stop by the Morrow SWCD Office to vote during business hours, or may request an absentee ballot beginning on November 7th.
