2024 Tree Seedling Sale Approaching Deadline of 3/8

Whether you are planning a windbreak for your home, establishing habitat or updating your landscape there is not greater addition to the property than a standing tree.

Morrow Soil and Water Conservation District will be wrapping up our annual Tree Seedling Sale on March 8th, 2024.

Seedlings are sold at 6-18 inches and in packets of 5 or 10 at a range of $7-8.00 + sales tax. Varieties being offered this year through both Alpha Nurseries, Inc. and New Life Nursery, Inc. are listed below...

Norway Spruce

White Oak

Redbud

Persimmon

Paw Paw

Common Lilac

You may pick-up an order form from the MSWCD office in Mount Gilead or print a copy from our website. Once completed the order from should be returned to the MSWCD office by March 8th, via mail or hand delivery. Payment can be made by either check (made out to Morrow SWCD) or cash on the day that your order is submitted.

Trees will be available for pick-up on April 18-19th at the MSWCD office from 8a.m.-6p.m. You will receive a postcard reminder which will provide the pick-up dates and times. Surplus seedlings may be available during pick-up at regular prices.

MSWCD also loans tree planting bars for your convenience at a $20.00 deposit, as well as, marking flags sold at $5.00 for a 25 count and $18.00 for a 100 count.

Tree packets have been pre-ordered by the district and sold at a first-come-first-served basis. We cannot guarantee the variety availability towards the end of sale, however, feel free to give the office a call with any questions you may have concerning the seedling sale.
